Wendy Van Dyke

Executive Director

Wendy, a graduate of Iowa State University with a BS in Elementary Education, has spent the past 25 years dedicated to helping at-risk youth. Wendy’s extensive background in mentoring vulnerable youth and her experience within the school system and non-profit organizations led her to establish Anchored Hope, a program that reflects her professional background, personal experiences, and faith. Since 2018, Wendy has also served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), where she has gained valuable insights that influence her work with youth transitioning out of foster care.

Amey Anderson

Program Manager

Amey believes that every person is valuable and has a purpose for their lives. With her faith and core values driving her to make a positive difference in young lives, Amey obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and an elementary degree from the University of Northern Colorado. Through 25 years experience in Positive Youth Development and program management, being a foster parent, and mentoring vulnerable youth, she is convinced that young people soar to new heights with the support of caring relationships, in positive and safe environments, and with the opportunities to develop critical life skills.

Ava Post

Social Media Assistant

Ava is a sophomore at Iowa State University, pursuing a degree in Finance and Accounting. She's excited to contribute to Anchored Hope by managing social media and making a positive impact on the lives of youth aging out of the system.
